G&L's Tribute series instruments sound, play and feel about three times better than their price suggests. If you make a habit of comparing price points, you can stop, because there isn't much that can compete with G&L's low/mid-priced instruments. This Bluesboy adds warmth and depth to unmistakable ASAT comfort and clarity. Clean, you can pull all kinds of twang out of this axe, but unlike a lot of single cut bolt-on guitars, you can just as easily get thick, rich tones courtesy of the humbucker in the neck position. With some distortion, this guitar turns into the perfect axe for any kind of blues, rock or country. It thickens up and cuts through with a meaty, midsy punch, more than living up to its name. The neck is very round and comfortable, perfect for fast leads, chords and big bends. Don't let the price fool you - this guitar could easily become your go-to gigging axe. Item Details This G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy Semi-Hollow features a clear orange finish on a swamp ash body. The medium C shape neck is maple, and it features a maple fretboard with a 9" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. Electronically, this guitar features the same bridge pickup as its American-made counterpart. Yup, you read that sentence correctly. There's a Paul Gagon-designed AS4255C alnico humbucker in the neck and a G&L MFD single coil in the bridge. You can expect responsive, lively tone that'll hold up to whatever you throw at it. The traditional boxed-steel bridge with individual brass saddles along with the 18:1 ratio tuning keys will keep everything locked down no matter how far you bend. If you're not looking to empty your bank account on a guitar but you want to sound like you did, this is the way to go.
